IV Hydration

Our bodies require many essential nutrients for proper functioning.  Today’s world is filled with constant demands on the body depleting its stores of these necessary nutrients. Although a good diet is important, it is well known that even an ideal healthy diet can lack the quantities of vitamins we need to recover and combat the effects of acute illnesses, chronic stress, and sleep deprivation. Dehydration can cause fatigue, dizziness, lightheadedness, headaches, constipation, dry skin and other unpleasant symptoms. You should consume at least half of your body weight (in ounces) per day, which can be difficult given our busy lives, much less the impact of exercise, weather changes, and alcohol consumption. Proper hydration is needed for every function in the body to operate at optimal levels.  This service is a great option for those recovering from illness, travel, looking to maintain optimal wellness, and pre or post a night out that includes consumption of alcoholic beverages or heavy treats and foods.

FAQs

What is IV hydration?

How often do I need treatments?

IV therapy is a method to quickly administer fluids, vitamins, and minerals directly into the bloodstream. By going directly into the bloodstream, your body can absorb 100% of the vitamins compared to no more than 10% when going through the digestive tract.  IV is short for intravenous (in the vein). We provide IV Hydration by using a small catheter that’s placed directly into your vein. This allows us to hydrate you more effectively and efficiently than if you were to drink water. Yes, there is a small poke with a small needle, but once the vein is accessed, the needle comes out and the plastic catheter is left in its place.

Is IV hydration safe?

This depends on each individual’s needs and treatments preferred.   Some of the treatments are a quick fix and are only needed when the ailment is active ie: migraine, hangover.  Some of our infusions can be used as preventatives and can be given 1-2x per month.

How long will the IV hydration take?

All of our vitamins go through high levels of testing. Before a client receives IV therapy, their health history is evaluated.  Side effects from an IV drip are generally non-existent or very mild. On occasion, you may experience some discomfort, bruising, itching, inflammation, or redness at or around the site of injection, and this could last from a few minutes to several days. However, true allergic reactions are extremely rare.  However, if you experience throat swelling, pruritic body rash, dangerously low blood pressure, or symptoms associated with anaphylaxis following administration of an injection, visit your nearest emergency department. If you know you are allergic to any of the ingredients — please avoid it!

Depending on the “infusion” you select, they can last between 30-60 minutes to infuse. The difference in infusion rate depends on the total fluid amount and the viscosity of the "infusion".  Your hands will be free so you can relax, listen to music, read or do your work while you receive your IV nutrient therapy. Feel free to bring your device and headphones.
